Type specimen: BPBM 165647, a set of limb elements (tarsometatarsus). Its type locality is Hanatekua Shelter 2 site, Hiva Oa, which is in a Holocene terrestrial horizon in French Polynesia.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution:
• Quaternary of Cook Islands (4 collections), French Polynesia (10)
Total: 14 collections each including a single occurrence
