Sister taxon: Elginia mirabilis

Type specimen: IVPP V 23875, a partial skeleton (Partial skull with 11 vertebrae, ribs, and c. 12 osteoderms.). Its type locality is Locality DQS33, Tumd Right Banner, which is in a Lopingian terrestrial siltstone in the Naobaogou Formation of China.

Ecology: planktonic herbivore

Distribution: found only at Locality DQS33, Tumd Right Banner
