Type specimen: PMoL-B00175, a skeleton (a nearly complete skeleton with associated plumage preserved on a slab and counter slab). Its type locality is Gangou, Qinglong, which is in an Oxfordian lacustrine shale in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Gangou, Qinglong
