Type specimen: Coryndon Museum Ru F3617, a partial shell (partial carapace and plastron). Its type locality is Rusinga Island, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Kenya.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Rusinga Island
