Type specimen: AMNH 20842, a limb element (right humerus). Its type locality is Locality II, SW of Ampoza, which is in a Holocene terrestrial horizon in Madagascar.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Locality II, SW of Ampoza
