Type specimen: UC 30539, a shell. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3776, Runkle Canyon, which is in a Selandian marine horizon in the Santa Susana Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal
Distribution: found only at UCMP loc. 3776, Runkle Canyon
