Sister taxa: Caririgryllus arthaudi, Caririgryllus elongatus, Caririgryllus mesai, Caririgryllus pilosus
Type specimen: RGMN-T3001, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Crato, Tatajuba farm, Araripe Basin, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large limestone in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Crato, Tatajuba farm, Araripe Basin
