Type specimen: SMMP 000016, a skeleton (articulated specimen displaying the postcranium in dorsal view, and the skull in ventral view). Its type locality is Baiyuncun of Xinpuxiang, which is in a Carnian coastal marl in the Falang Formation of China.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Baiyuncun of Xinpuxiang
