Belongs to Dipnorhynchus according to K. S. W. Campbell and R. E. Barwick 1999
Sister taxa: Dipnorhynchus kiandrensis, Dipnorhynchus kurikae, Dipnorhynchus lehmanni, Dipnorhynchus suessmilchi
Type specimen: ANU60027, a mandible. Its type locality is Dipnorhynchuscathlesae-type locality, which is in an Emsian peritidal carbonate in the Taemas Limestone Formation of Australia.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dipnorhynchuscathlesae-type locality
