Type specimen: BP/1/7120, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Beginsel farm, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian floodplain mudstone in the Elliot Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Beginsel farm
