Type specimen: MCNC 95-72V, a partial skull (skull and partial mandible). Its type locality is Pipeline Locality, Urumaco, which is in a Tortonian channel sandstone in the Urumaco Formation of Venezuela.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Pipeline Locality, Urumaco
