Type specimen: MSVG 39617, a skeleton (A relatively complete individual preserved on a slab, with a disarticulated skull, part of the pectoral girdle, and an articulated vertebral column lacking the ). Its type locality is Camponocecchio, Genga, which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian marine horizon in the Calcari ad aptici e Saccocoma Formation of Italy.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Camponocecchio, Genga
