Sister taxa: Witenia flava, Witenia fusca, Witenia yolua
Type specimen: BUS-608, a tooth (M1 dext). Its type locality is Buštranje, which is in an Eocene terrestrial claystone in Serbia and Montenegro.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Buštranje
