Type specimen: IVPP V18929, a skeleton (a nearly complete and articulated specimen preserved on a single slab). Its type locality is Sihedang, Lingyuan, which is in an Aptian lacustrine mudstone/shale in the Jiufotang Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Sihedang, Lingyuan
