Type specimen: KNM-KP 68723, a tooth (left M1/). Its type locality is Kanapoi Nzube's Mandible Site, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in the Kanapoi Formation of Kenya.
Ecology: volant herbivore-insectivore
Distribution: found only at Kanapoi Nzube's Mandible Site
