Type specimen: University of Alabama Museum of Natural History PI2015.0017.001, a hindwing. Its type locality is Cahaba Living River Retreat, which is in a Westphalian A terrestrial shale in the Pottsville Formation of Alabama.

Distribution: found only at Cahaba Living River Retreat
