Type specimen: UMPE 626, a skull (skull and associated mandible). Its type locality is Santiago Yolomécatl, Iniyoo Local Fauna, which is in a Bartonian/Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/chert in the Yolomécatl Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Santiago Yolomécatl, Iniyoo Local Fauna
