Sister taxon: Protoculicoides depressus
Type specimen: KU-NHM-ENT Bu-055, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber (SEMC Kansas coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Burmese amber (SEMC Kansas coll)
