  • Molopophorus cretaceus: ANSP 4197 (lectotype)
  • Molopophorus tejonensis: CAS 316, a shell. Its type locality is CAS loc. 245, Grapevine Canyon, which is in an Eocene marginal marine sandstone/shale in the Tejon Formation of California.

Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
