Type specimen: GSC 14202, a valve (Right valve). Its type locality is GSC 28450, Otto Fiord, Ellesmere Island, which is in a Spathian deep-water siliciclastic in the Blind Fiord Formation of Canada.

• Triassic of Canada (6: British Columbia, Nunavut collections), Norway (1), the Russian Federation (2), Svalbard and Jan Mayen (6)
