Type specimen: KNM-NP 59050. Its type locality is Nyanzapithecus alesi-type locality, which is in a Serravallian terrestrial horizon in the Emunyan Formation of Kenya.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Nyanzapithecus alesi-type locality
