Sister taxa: Psilounio (Dagaurostoma), Psilounio (Phortunio), Psilounio (Psilounio)
Type specimen: NIGPAS 25164. Its type locality is Haitangpu, Jiangyou, which is in a Bajocian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Shaximiao Formation of China.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Haitangpu, Jiangyou
