Type specimen: MLP 3l-XI-12-25, a partial skull (cráneo con la región palatal y rostral completas, con los molariformes 2°, 30Y S" derechos, y 1 ,3°,4" Y5° izquierdos completos). Its type locality is Andalhuala, which is in a Messinian/Zanclean terrestrial horizon in the Andalhuala Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Andalhuala
