Type specimen: EUŐT 96/1, Department o f Palaeontology, Loránd Eötvös University, Budapest. Its type locality is Eplény, Manganese Ore Mine, Bakony Mts., which is in a Margaritatus shallow subtidal limestone in the Hierlatz Limestone Formation of Hungary.

Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Eplény, Manganese Ore Mine, Bakony Mts.
