Type specimen: KNM-KP 53150 A and B, a set of teeth (right m3 and m2 found in association). Its type locality is Kanapoi Nzube's Mandible Site, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in the Kanapoi Formation of Kenya.

Ecology: arboreal frugivore-folivore

Distribution: found only at Kanapoi Nzube's Mandible Site
