Type specimen: BMNHC Ph 1156a/b, a skeleton (A nearly complete and articulated skeleton preserved in two slabs (a/b) and surrounded by abundant feather impressions). Its type locality is Cruralispennia-type locality, which is in a Hauterivian terrestrial horizon in the Huajiying Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Cruralispennia-type locality
