Type specimen: AMNH FM 16060, a maxilla (right maxilla with P4-M2). Its type locality is Head of the Big Sand Coulee, which is in a Clarkforkian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Head of the Big Sand Coulee
