Type specimen: USNM 166497. Its type locality is Salt Mountain [Salt Mountain Lmst], which is in a Thanetian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Salt Mountain Limestone Formation of Alabama.
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at Salt Mountain [Salt Mountain Lmst]
