Type specimen: MPEF-PV 11340, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with incisor, p4–m3). Its type locality is Southern Cliff of lower Chubut River Valley, near Gaiman, which is in a Colhuehuapian paralic mudstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
