Type specimen: SG2005-B1, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Hujiayingzigouli, Chaoyang, which is in an Aptian terrestrial mudstone/shale in the Jiufotang Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Hujiayingzigouli, Chaoyang
