Sister taxon: Zoroaster fulgens

Type specimen: AU18054, E655 (Q07/f144), a test. Its type locality is Whangarei Harbour, which is in an Eocene marine sandstone in the Ruatangata Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Whangarei Harbour
