Type specimen: CM 2018.124.8, a partial skeleton (skull, some vertebrae, and most limb bones). Its type locality is Site 3, Waipara River (2 m above Loburn Formation), which is in a Selandian marine sandstone in the Waipara Greensand Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Site 3, Waipara River (2 m above Loburn Formation)
