Sister taxon: Anchonus bothynus
Type specimen: Poinar D-C-16A, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dominican amber (Poinar coll)
