Type specimen: Holotype U.S.N.M. 137039, paratype U.S.N.M. 137040. Its type locality is Meadel Ditch Quarry, which is in a Kinderhookian offshore mudstone/limestone in the Rockford Limestone Formation of Indiana.

Ecology: epifaunal grazer
