Type specimen: USNM 23042. Its type locality is Northwest of Stephenson Place, Cold Ford of Cottonwood Creek, which is in a Hauterivian/Barremian basinal (siliceous) mudstone/sandstone in the Stony Creek Formation of California.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Northwest of Stephenson Place, Cold Ford of Cottonwood Creek
