Type specimen: MACN-A 10443a, an osteoderm (un osteodermo intermedio de la coraza dorsal). Its type locality is Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake ColhuƩ Huapƭ, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Argentina (2 collections)
