Type specimen: NMNZ S.47312, a set of postcrania (tarsometatarsus, radius, and caudal vertebra). Its type locality is Maunganui Beach, east of Tahatika Creek, which is in a Paleocene/Paleocene coastal sandstone in the Takatika Grit Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Maunganui Beach, east of Tahatika Creek
