Sister taxa: Urmiatherium intermedium, Urmiatherium rugosifrons

Type specimen: LGPUT FRK19, a partial skull (Skull fragment with occipital, supraoccipital, parietal and parts of the frontals with the right horn core). Its type locality is Fourka (FRK), which is in a Miocene terrestrial sandstone in Greece.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser

Distribution: found only at Fourka (FRK)
