Type specimen: IGM 0001, a skeleton (skull and axial skeleton, preserving part of the right pectoral girdle and left forelimb). Its type locality is Cerro de Palotes, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine siltstone/limestone in the La Casita Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Cerro de Palotes
