Type specimen: NZ Geological Survey, B1087.40. Its type locality is Backyards Road cutting (S117/f754), which is in a Ladinian fluvial horizon in the Long Gully Formation of New Zealand.

Distribution: found only at Backyards Road cutting (S117/f754)
