Type specimen: MUSM 487, a skull (ranium damaged in some parts; in particular the left lateral and the posteroventral portions of the neurocranium are missing. Eight broken teeth are inside thei). Its type locality is Zamaca-Ullujaya area, which is in a Burdigalian marine horizon in the Chilcatay Formation of Peru.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Zamaca-Ullujaya area
