Type specimen: FHSM VP-17575, a partial skeleton (disarticulated partial skeleton consisting of at least 134 teeth, 61 vertebrae, and 23 placoid scales). Its type locality is Tipton, near, which is in a Turonian offshore shale in the Carlile Shale Formation of Kansas.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Tipton, near
