Type specimen: PKUP V0226, a partial skeleton (an incomplete skeleton including articulated cranium and postcranium, with part of the tail missing). Its type locality is 300 m northwest of Nanshimenzi village, which is in an Oxfordian terrestrial shale in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at 300 m northwest of Nanshimenzi village
