Type specimen: FU171x, a partial skeleton (incomplete skeleton preserving the skull and mandible, vertebral column, the pelvis and hindlimbs). Its type locality is Around ash layer +15, Coast cliff at Ejerslev, Isle of Mors, which is in a Ypresian offshore ramp diatomite/volcaniclastic in the Fur Formation of Denmark.
