Type specimens:
- Prohysteroceras wordiei: BMNH C.20086, a shell. Its type locality is Locality 291, edge of 500-feet plateau above Old Lobito, which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in Angola.
- Subschloenbachia rotunda: Its type locality is Catumbella (Couches à Schloenbachia inflata), which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in the Catumbela Formation of Angola.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
