Type specimen: SMG V0003, a partial skeleton (Maxilla, dentary, vertebrae and pubis). Its type locality is Yangjiayao, which is in a Cenomanian/Campanian fluvial mudstone in the Huiquanpu Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Yangjiayao
