Sister taxon: Paleocirroteuthis haggarti
Type specimen: CDM2006.2.1, an other (lower jaw). Its type locality is West side of Inland Highway (locality 1), which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in the Pender Formation of Canada.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Canada (1: British Columbia collection), Japan (1)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
