Type specimen: UNEFM-PF-0380, a partial skull. Its type locality is Cerro La Cruz, which is in a Miocene terrestrial mudstone in the Castillo Formation of Venezuela.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Cerro La Cruz
