Sister taxa: Plicatoscyllium gharbii, Plicatoscyllium globidens, Plicatoscyllium lehneri, Plicatoscyllium minutum, Plicatoscyllium youssoufiaense
Type specimen: Its type locality is Kemp Clay Formation, which is in a Maastrichtian marine claystone/sandstone in the Kemp Clay Formation of Texas
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of United States (6: Maryland, North Dakota, Texas collections)
Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
