Sister taxon: Brochuchus pigotti

Type specimen: KNM-MB 36682, a partial skull. Its type locality is Maboko Main Locality, Maboko Island (Bed 3), which is in a Langhian wet floodplain claystone in the Maboko Formation of Kenya.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Maboko Main Locality, Maboko Island (Bed 3)
